Bert LaBonté is one of Australia’s most accomplished screen and stage actors, widely recognised for his extensive work across major television and film productions. He recently starred as Remi Jolicoeur in the critically acclaimed crime drama series Dustfall (ABC/BBC), which won the coveted Audience Award at its world premiere at Series Mania 2026.His extensive television credits span premium streaming and network series, including hit comedies Colin From Accounts (Binge) and Fisk (ABC), as well as prominent roles in NCIS: Sydney (Paramount+), Five Bedrooms (Paramount+), Pieces of Her (Netflix), and the multi-award-winning drama The Newsreader (ABC). Audiences will also recognise him from his roles in Erotic Stories, Surviving Summer, Jack Irish, Wentworth, Upper Middle Bogan, The Let Down, and Squinters. On the big screen, Bert has appeared in David Michôd’s critically acclaimed feature Animal Kingdom and The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee.Alongside his prolific screen career, Bert is a highly respected figure in Australian theatre. A Helpmann Award winner, his stage credits include major productions for Melbourne Theatre Company (where he has both acted and directed), Sydney Theatre Company, and leading musical theatre productions like Moulin Rouge! The Musical and The Book of Mormon.
